Considering printing up for people’s photography in a few weeks, and realised i hadn’t posted this shot already, although it’s been sitting there for over a year and i keep coming back to it. I can never resist hydrangea when they go all papery like this :)

Getting anywhere in the highlands took twice as long as expected, when we stopped every ten minutes to climb down to little spots like this!

After a bracing walk round the River Affric trail in Glen Affric (possibly my favourite place in the WHOLE WORLD, ever) we braved the flying monsters for an extra few minutes to take some pictures in a little foresty bit by the water that was absolutely bursting with fresh, green ferns. Elfy heaven!
